CRAZY 3D CAKES. This is your opportunity to think outside the box, be bold and showcase your sugar craft skills and techniques, and impress us with your creativity and originality. Create a 3D Cake of your choice made from any edible medium or combination of mediums. This may be a single piece or a group of displays. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE THE SOLE WORK OF THE CONTESTANT. YOU MUST PROVIDE PHOTOS OF THE INTERNAL STRUCTURE TO SHOW HOW YOU CREATED ANY STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS (UP TO 5 EXTRA PHOTOS). The entire cake entry must be new and YOUR own creation, including any hand-made sugar decorations and/or flowers on their entry. Everything above the board MUST BE EDIBLE. No artificial decoration allowed. Commercially designed or produced cake toppers, flowers or cake jewelry are NOT ALLOWED. Dummies and Internal supports ARE PERMITTED, but NO VISIBLE EXTERNAL SUPPORTS allowed, except in wired flowers and foliage. No height restriction. Judges may request more detailed photos of the techniques they use in relation to their product if they deem it necessary. You must send a brief explanation of the entry.
